Amazon data has shown that as the celebrations approach, demand for decorations has soared, with more than 135,000 searches for Coronation themed party decorations.

Hospitality experts Power EPOS, have analysed the Amazon data to see the most popular Coronation decorations and the average prices to see how much Brits are preparing to spend.

The top ten most searched for types of decorations on Amazon were:

  1. Crowns
  2. Bunting
  3. Tableware
  4. Banner
  5. Hats
  6. Cake toppers
  7. Balloons
  8. Flags
  9. Tiaras
  10. Napkins

Looking at the search volume figures, if consumers in the UK were to buy just one of each of the most popular Coronation products at £72.70, the UK is expected to spend £9,831,366 by the weekend.

Richard Goodall, md of Power EPOS, said: “It’s clear excitement for the Coronation is building, with demand for party wear peaking as we approach the Bank Holiday weekend. With the last coronation taking place 69 years ago, it’s certainly a once in a lifetime event.”
