The Face And Body Art Convention (UKFABAC) is now owned and run by BAPIA.
During the 21st anniversary celebrations at this year’s event, convention creator, Rosey Watson of Rainbow Faces handed over the reins to John Bowler of BAPIA who expressed his excitement:“We are so pleased to be taking on this amazing event, we first attended this convention back in 2013 and the design, creativity and talent on display was so impressive that we knew there was a perfect synergy and we wanted BAPIA to be a part of this fantastic community.
“Rosey has developed a fantastic convention that now boasts the largest gathering of face painters in the UK and when the opportunity came up to take it over we jumped at it and we are committed to continuing Rosey’s legacy.”
The next convention will take place from 8 – 12 October 2026 at the Doubletree by Hilton, Coventry. John added: “We recognise perfection when we see it but we will be working extremely hard to ensure that this convention grows and continues to be an inspiring, creative and fun event for all attendees.”
UK FABAC 2024 featured 72 classes and some additional masterclasses with instructors and delegates flying in from around the world to take part, competitions, raffles, demonstrations, a retailers room with a great range of suppliers and stock available and a party with entertainment that leaves you wanting more. The convention closed with a body painting catwalk and closing party.
As part of BAPIA’s growth in the face painting community, it has developed a specific membership package which includes free public, products and employers liability insurance that covers face painting, glitter tattoos, airbrushing, Henna and hair braiding. Alongside this there are discounts with leading UK wholesalers and business support in place for members.
