Balloon Market Buzz: Pioneer Europe Makes Official Statement On Balloon Releases

In the most recent instalment of Balloon Market Buzz, Greg Brown spoke to Pioneer Europe’s Mark Drury about the company’s official stance on balloon releases.

The first major balloon supplier to lay its cards on the table regarding the controversial issue, Mark was keen to point out that Pioneer Europe’s official take on balloon releases has changed.

“If you go onto our website now you will see that Pioneer Europe, as a founding member of EBPC, do not suggest anybody releases balloons of any type. Essentially, that’s because it is litter and we want to protect our environment.”

As one of the subsidaries of the largest manufacturers of latex balloons in the world, this is a powerful statement to the rest of the industry.

The pair then go on to discuss how the EBPC can help retailers educate the public, with Mark describing the professional body’s central mission as; “creating a positive and sustaineble environment to grow the balloon and party industry.”

Take a look for yourself – and let us (and Greg!) know what you think.
