Amscan says ‘Do It Yourself’

Party, costume and balloon supplier Amscan has released a number of new Do-It-Yourself retail collections, allowing consumers to create stylish balloon bouquets and garlands in the comfort of their own home.

With home parties on the rise and an increasing amount of people looking to get hands on with their own party decor, Amscan has created a retail line precisely to meet that need.

The garland and balloon kits are designed in coordinating packaging, making them easy to merchandise either within stores or online. The garland kits include balloons, balloon tape and sticky dots, while the balloon kits include balloons and ribbon.

“With current restrictions on social interaction and the challenges independent retailers will face as lockdown begins to lift in the coming months, these kits give retailers an opportunity to provide a one box solution for DIY, build it yourself celebrations,” explained Amscan’s marketing and design coordinator, Emily Duke.

“These garlands and bouquets allow us to support our online and independent retailers who are having to find new ways in delivering celebrations to their customers, allowing a consumer to purchase this pack and create an impactful backdrop in their own home.”

She added: “During the design of these products we were imagining the ways in which a retailer would be able to further support a consumer in the creation of their piece through the use of video call applications. Wouldn’t it be great for the relationship between shop owner and customer to be further enhanced with step-by-step assistance during the build of the garland or bouquet?!”
