Amscan remains operational while temporarily closing UK headquarters

A business update from the Amscan UK team has revealed that while the Milton Keynes-based head office is now closed, many teams – including customer services – will remain fully operational.

The Amscan UK headquarters closed at the end of the day on Tuesday (24 March), with orders being shipped until 5pm yesterday (Thursday 26 March). The warehouse will now remain closed until further notice.

The business update was issued in response to the latest advice from the government and Public Health England.

“It’s essential to our business to protect both our customers and the Amscan family during this challenging time,” read the statement. “We will do our best to keep in touch and update you as often as possible, but remember, we are still here, even though we are working remotely.”

The statement followed a public announcement from Jim Plutt, president of Anagram International.

Based in the US, Jim stated in a LinkedIn post that: “The global spread of COVID-19 is affecting us all. We’re adapting and responding in ways that we can. People are our top priority and our focus is keeping our customers, partners, employees and their families safe.”

He went on to outline a number of ways in which Anagram is working to keep business as usual as much as possible, while also focusing on protecting employee health and supporting valued customers and partners.

UK customers looking for further assistance are able to contact the team via their usual email contacts.
