Amscan launches new eco-friendly party basics range

In light of the recent ban on single-use items, including plastic cutlery, plates and trays in England in the future, Amscan has announced a new range of eco solutions.

Amscan has redesigned its formats and colours, placing sustainability at the forefront of its development. Across 18 colours and seven formats at launch, the eco solutions will join the company’s core solid colour assortment.

The 23cm plate features a natural, non chemically modified coating, making it more eco-friendly and recyclable. The new products are also labelled with the relevant information to make recycling easy for consumers. The plates are also FSC certified products.

33cm 3ply luncheon napkins are printed onto a white background to give a vibrant colour, and are also now home compostable as well as being FSC certified.

Amscan’s new 227ml paper cups feature the latest required warnings, making them compliant for the EU zone. Meanwhile, the tablecovers are available in two formats – paper and reusable wipe clean plastic options. Both are available in 18 colours and measure 137 x 274cm. The reusable version is 40gsm plastic and the paper option are also FSC certified.

The reusable plastic cutlery in the range comes in two options: A mixed 24pk of 12 forks and 12 knives and also a 24 pack of spoons. The items are now top rack dishwasher safe.

All of the packaging will also display the sorting and recycling logos, making it easier for customers to dispose of correctly, and also do their bit for the planet.
