Amscan creates giant balloon cake for ITFS 30th anniversary

The Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) had a little helping hand in its anniversary celebrations last week.

The 30th anniversary of the festival coincided with the global ‘One Million Bubbles’ campaign where balloon artists from around the world spread love, joy and hope with balloon art.

So Amscan took the opportunity to bring smiles to people’s faces in the city centre of Stuttgart by creating an impressive balloon cake for the event.

Linda Gewinner, team lead marketing for Amscan Europe said: “More than 4.500 Everts Decorator Balloons were used for this three metres high and four metres wide giant birthday cake. Every visitor and passer-by was invited to contribute and help by filling balloons.”

Amscan Europe’s balloon artist Hans-Peter Bulant, added: “Large pieces of balloon art always put a smile on everyone’s face. We are happy that we could create a real eye-catcher in the middle of Stuttgart with our great Everts Decorator balloons and spread a little joy.”
