BAPIA raises £355 for Breast Cancer Now

The Balloon and Party Industry Alliance offered to donate £5 for every entry in its October Facebook competition to support the cause during Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The competition, which invited entrants to submit photos in a pink theme launched last month and gained 71 eligible entries throughout October.

John Bowler, chief executive of BAPIA, commented: “We wanted to support Breast Cancer Awareness month and decided to support the Breast Cancer Now charity with our October competition. We are really pleased with the number of entries, and the feedback from members has been fantastic.

“Clearly breast cancer has affected many people and we need to do whatever we can to help raise awareness to encourage people to check themselves, and this goes for men as well as women.”

The three competition winners, pictured above, each win a £50 M&S voucher sponsored by BAPIA. The winners were:

Amy Taylor, Balloons by Amy, whose 18 design received the most likes prize.

Roger Daws, Iglobo.co.uk, whose centrepiece design won the random winner prize.

Kayleigh O’Hare, Blushing Balloons Boutique, whose organic garland design won the judge’s choice prize.

The BAPIA November Facebook photo competition gives members an opportunity to show off their recent Halloween designs. For more information contact info@bapiaonline.com.
