Boland moves to state of the art new HQ

The party supplier has moved its previous three premises to one central, sustainable location in Bleiswijk.

As part of its plan for future growth, Boland has relocated to a new 14 metre high location, combining a 1000m2 office, with 45 work stations; a 1000m2 showroom, showcasing its complete 5000 strong product portfolio; and a 15000m2 distribution centre with space for 26,000 pallets.

The move came following the need for more storage, as well as a desire to work more efficiently with all of Boland’s departments under one roof.

As well as its impressive size, Boland has designed the space with a focus on sustainability. The HQ doesn’t use gas, even for the heating, and will soon have solar panels on the roof to further boost the building’s eco-credentials.

The new distribution centre works with voice picking and the order picking trucks work on induction. Boland has also planted trees and hedges around the premises and has many plants inside the offices, including two moss walls.

The Bleiswijk location is easily accessible due to its central location near a motorway and was chosen for its beautiful surroundings.

Robert Boland, ceo, commented: “We are very happy with and really proud of our new premises and are ready for the future.”
