Eighty80 plans international expansion

Balloon retailer Eighty80 has outlined plans to produce its sustainable text balloons in a range of languages.

Following a successful year of growth during the pandemic, balloon retailer and ‘purveyor of happiness’, Eighty80, is planning to create its own small brand alongside its retail business.

The company has seen a huge growth in online following public cheer after the company was highlighted for refunding the cost of orders to those buying balloons to celebrate significant events, including one customer whose mother was at the end of Cancer treatment.

The company plans to fill a gap in the market and produce balloons in its signature fonts in a range of different languages, including the Greek alphabet, enabling it to sell to different territories.

Owner, Noelle Kasparis, commented: “I should be bringing out multiple languages in the [Eighty80] fonts. I’m from Cyprus, so my main language is Greek and nobody at the moment is manufacturing the Greek alphabet in the balloons, so I would be the first to do that. Then I could potentially sell to Cyprus and Greece as well, or American sororities.”

Our full interview with Noelle will be published in the next issue of Progressive Party Europe.
