Baby Trump balloon returns to mark state visit

The 20ft balloon version of Donald Trump in a nappy first floated over London in 2018 before returning for the US president’s state visit, which is taking place this week.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has once again given his permission for the balloon to fly, causing equal amounts of joy and outrage throughout the UK capital.

The blimp depicts President Trump in a nappy on a mobile phone and has become a hallmark of protests against the president in London after environmentalist Leo Murray led the campaign to raise £18,000 through crowdfunding for the balloon last year.

The giant orange infant will be floating above London during the visit, most notably above Parliament Square for two hours from 10am on Tuesday.

The Museum of London has also announced that it would like to house the Donald Trump baby balloon as an exhibit in the future.
