Talking Halloween with Smiffys

With Halloween now just around the corner, Sharon Poulter is the senior trade marketing manager for Smiffys and she shares the company’s preparations and plans for the big day.

As last-minute preparations take place for Halloween 2018, what do you expect to see?

“An office full of zombies, creepy clowns and reimagined ghouls at Smiffys HQ!”

What has been selling well in the run-up so far?

“Our best-selling Halloween clowns have been a winner.”

What’s your top tip for this year?

“Show your customers how to transform themselves in minutes with in-store demonstrations using our special effects make up! Go all out this Halloween and decorate your store with scary props and accessories to really set the scene and encourage additional purchases.”

Which item, range or style do you expect to do really well?

“The demand for zombies, clowns and TV character-inspired looks has continued to grow. Our in-house design team have created new costume and accessory ranges which have been big sellers in 2018!”

What are your new launches / biggest sellers?

“The spookiest time of the year is the perfect opportunity for the whole family to get involved by dressing up in matching costumes. Our family of vintage clowns is new for 2018 and includes costumes for women, men and kids aged from four to 12.”
