The last two months have been a particularly busy period for the party industry. The European trade show circuit started with a bang (and a beer) at Spielwarenmesse, otherwise known as Nuremberg Toy Fair. It’s been a hotspot for party product for some time now, but the buzzy, lively show really has to be experienced first-hand.

Back in the UK, Spring Fair 2018 was far better for the party industry than many had anticipated, with a healthy mix of serious buyers and casual browsers keeping exhibitors busy during the five-day show. See our feedback piece for more opinion and comment on the party show season.

While all this has been going on, there has also been a great deal of discussion in the news about balloons; specifically, about banning them. The issue itself has been the subject of much discussion and some heated opinions, so check out our industry issue feature and get in touch to let us know what you think. It’s an important issue and one that could ultimately affect most of us in one way or another so it’s essential we as an industry keep talking.

Until next time, please drop us a line with any news, views or anything else you’d like us to look at in the future. This is a team effort, after all!

P.S – don’t miss Bristol Novelty’s insert with this issue – it has some great Halloween savings for retailers. You can also view it online, here.
