Bristol Novelty reports successful World Book Day

Costume and accessories company Bristol Novelty has reported a successful World Book Day, following a number of new launches for the category over the last 12 months.

“Every World Book Day is a new chapter for Bristol Novelty and this year was no exception,” explained marketing manager Fran Hales.

“Off the back of another very successful Spring Fair and Spielwarenmesse, we’ve seen a noticeable increase in sales over the World Book Day season,” he continued. “Our 2019 costume ranges have continued to establish themselves in the market and the brand new 2020 curriculum ranges have been well received by our retailers.”

As with Halloween, Fran also reports seeing a similar rise in accessory sales for this particular seasonal event.

“Lower price-point items, such as our disguise kits, provide parents with an affordable and more flexible options to cater for the educational themes which have been put in place by some schools over recent years,” he explained.
