Easter Wedding At Party City

The first ever Party City wedding took place on Easter Sunday, when Heather and Justin Sietman got married at the US party retailer’s Brighton store, where Justin works as a manager.

The ceremony was officiated by Justin’s boss, general manager Ben Shuhm while Party City covered the cost of decorations and other party supplies for both the ceremony and wedding reception. The company also surprised the newlyweds with a $1,000 nest egg.

The wedding itself took place in the seasonal aisle, which was decorated in a silver and blue theme.

“I was in shock when I saw how store staff members had transformed the store into a wedding ceremony venue,” said Heather. “Justin went in the night before to help with the decorations and the Party City staff did an amazing job of getting everything ready.”

“Party City has decorations, so we said why not have it there?” said Justin, explaining the couple’s choice of venue. “We thought it was an interesting and cool idea.”

Justin was promoted to operations manager of the store, where he has worked since 2013, later that day.
