T-Rex Costume Is Toy Of The Year Contender

The groundbreaking inflatable T-Rex costume from Rubie’s has been shortlisted as one of the finalists in the Toy Industry Association’s Toy of the Year awards.

The shortlist, which was released earlier this month, features the officially licensed Jurassic World T-Rex costume – which is now also an internet sensation – in the Innovative Toy of the Year category.

The public are able to vote for their favorite toys from 2017 in the annual awards, which span a variety of categories and are often referred to as ‘The Oscars’ of the toy industry.

Rubie’s Jurassic World T-Rex Inflatable Costume is up against a number of other groundbreaking products, from a gaming system to a remote control battle arena.

The last 12 months have seen the T-Rex costume appearing across the internet and on social media in a number of different scenarios; on the school run, working out in the gym – there are even compilation videos.

Voting is open between now and Friday 5 January 2018 on the official Toy Awards website and the winners will be announced during a celebration in New York on Friday 16 February.
