Spielwarenmesse highlights: Delights Direct, Carnival Toys and Folat

Nuremburg toy fair (30 January – 3 February) is key for European party retailers looking to be ahead of the game in 2019, with over 260 party and carnival exhibitors from over 34 different countries showcasing their latest lines in Hall 9.

Launching for the first time this year is Showtime, a new promotion area which will be playing host to a targeted programme of events each day. Catwalk shows will take place three times a day, while other innovations from across the sector will be featured during hands-on demonstrations.

Here’s today’s pick of the showfloor highlights:

Delights Direct, Stand 9D07delights direct

The Delights Direct team is excited about meeting new customers at the show. “The last three years has been really good for that, but it’s also great to say hello to some familiar clients too,” says account manager Stuart Wheeler. “A much later carnival should be really good for footfall this year.” Delights Direct will have an extensive range of costumes and accessories for Carnival, including the very popular PJ Masks outfits.

Carnival Toys, Stand 9E09Carnival Toys

Carnival Toys will be presenting a selection of the year’s forthcoming novelties at the show and invites both existing and new customers to visit the stand, where of course the team also serves Italian espresso coffee! For 2019 Carnival Toys will be making sure it offers retailers something different, to give them a point of difference in turn. The Italian production becomes a real selling point here as Italy is the spiritual ‘home’ of Carnival in Europe, making Carnival Toys the perfect supplier for these lines. An in-house production facility produces the high quality costumes, wigs, masks, confetti and streamers.

Folat, Stand 9E04folat

For 2019 Folat has developed a number of new items in matte metallic, including foil numbers in pink, green and blue which can be combined with matching plates and flag banners. At the show, Folat will be launching different types of decoration such as metallic rose gold, and silver and gold plates, cups and napkins which work well when combined with Folat’s table confetti and confetti balloons. Also new is a range of retro general birthday articles such as party horns, blowouts, eye masks, crowns and tiaras in metallic, glitter and holographic designs in a variety of colours including magenta, red, green, purple and gold.
