Poundland giving away free invisibility cloaks

Discount UK retailer Poundland is giving away invisibility  cloaks from its 2019 Halloween range for free.

A number of the popular high street stores are offering people the chance to get hold of an invisibility cloak to take the pressure off finding a suitable fancy dress costume for this Halloween.

“We intended to trial this item last year, but couldn’t find it in the distribution centre,” said Poundland trading director Tim Bettley. “But now we’ve found it, we think our customers will see the value, if not the cloak.”

The new offering/publicity stunt has gone viral after being covered by a number of national and local consumer news outlets, as well as popular online news channels such as LADbible.

The clever PR exercise is helping to promote Poundland’s largest ever Halloween range, which offers more than 270 products, covering partyware, decor, dress-up, make-up and a whole range of other accessories and extras. Prices start from £1.
