Party People seeks new owner or investor

After 35 years in business, Australian retailer, The Party People is seeking a new owner or investor.

In a post on LinkedIn, chief party dude, Dean Salakas, said: “The Party People is one of Australia’s longest-running and best-known party stores. The business has been widely featured across media, including regular appearances on prime-time TV, and has won numerous industry awards, such as the Australian Retail Association and National Retail Association’s Retailer of the Year awards.

“The Party People is now open to expressions of interest to either purchase the business outright or co-invest with an existing owner. There is flexibility around the structure, whether that involves a new business partner, new owner, full or part ownership, the sale of our Sydney flagship store, or an online-only arrangement.

“All and any offers will be considered, as there is no set ‘reserve’. Please reach out directly if you’re interested in an initial, exploratory conversation.

“We’ll be making a decision around the future direction by end October, and we’re looking to capture expressions of interest by Tuesday 15th October so please get in touch if there is any interest.”
