NABAS launches industry awards at PIE UK

The Balloon and Party Professionals Association (NABAS) is set to launch the NABAS Industry Award at next year’s Party Industry Event (PIE UK).

The awards, taking place at PIE UK on 27 and 28 April, 2025 at The Slate, Warwickshire, are a celebration of the talent and innovation within the industry, recognising excellence in various categories.

With the mission of uniting the industry, the NABAS Industry Awards aims to bring together professionals from across the sector to honour outstanding achievements and contributions. The awards are open to both NABAS members and non-members, fostering inclusivity and collaboration.

The PIE UK event has been running for over a decade, providing an opportunity to enjoy training, networking and celebrating the depth and breadth of talent and innovation in the industry.

The categories for the inaugural NABAS Industry Awards are:

Best Backdrop Design – Recognising exceptional creativity and craftsmanship in backdrop design for events.

Best Table Centrepiece Design – Highlighting innovative and visually stunning table and centrepiece designs.

Best Gift Design – Celebrating unique and memorable gift designs that leave a lasting impression.

Designer of the Year – Awarded to the individual who demonstrates exceptional talent and creativity across all categories.

Wholesaler of the Year – Voted by NABAS members, this award recognises the wholesaler that consistently provides outstanding products and services to the industry.

Victoria Cook, co-chair of NABAS, commented: “We are thrilled to launch the NABAS Industry Awards, which serve as a platform to showcase and celebrate the incredible talent and innovation within the party and balloon sector.”
