For women, Maria thinks the following costumes will be big hits:
Wednesday Addams – With the autumn release of the new Netflix show – Wednesday – we can expect many costumes based on the character this year, especially as ‘Wednesday Addams costume’ receives an average of 58,000 monthly Google searches worldwide.
Wanda Maximoff from Wandavision – Marvel’s character, otherwise known as Scarlet Witch. is another key search term, with 50,000 monthly searches worldwide.
Julia Fox – The Uncut Gems actress is used to turning heads with her bold fashion choices, so ladies are likely to follow suit in double denim and dramatic make-up.

Maverick from Top Gun – 2022’s box office hit, Top Gun: Maverick reignited interest in the 80s film, sparking 12,000 average monthly searches for ‘Top Gun costume’ worldwide.
Eddie Munson from Stranger Things – Stranger Things has taken 2022 by storm, so we can expect many costumes inspired by the series. Eddie’s look can be easily replicated, and the term ‘Hellfire Club shirt’ receives 41,000 average monthly worldwide searches.
House of the Dragon – One of the biggest and most anticipated shows of the year, House of the Dragon will likely be among the most popular Halloween looks this year.
For those heading to Halloween parties together as couples, Maria expects to see:
Elvis and Priscilla – A classic couple has recently been bought to attention with Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic, increasing searches for ‘Elvis costume’ by 335% in the last year.
Barbie and Ken – Those photos of Ryan Gosling adn Margot Robbie on set of Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie film has helped searches for ‘Barbie Halloween Costumes’ reach an average of 15,000 each month worldwide.
Danny and Sandy – Honouring the late Olivia Newton-John, fans are likely to embrace the couple this Halloween.

Cast of Euphoria – Since the release of season two earlier this year, fans are still talking about the iconic make-up and fashion choices, which make for perfect group Halloween costumes.
Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus – The long-awaited sequel to the classic film hits Disney+ today and as a result, searches for ‘Hocus Pocus costumes’ have risen 317% over the past three months.
