Rubies’ virtual showcases a box office hit

Due to the cancellation of key trade shows this year, Rubies made instant moves to ensure customers and key accounts wouldn’t miss out on seeing the huge portfolio of new products coming for 2021 and 2022, via live streamed virtual showcases. Last month saw yet another fully booked week of virtual showcases taking place in the Bristol office, with customers getting a first look at exclusive product from all the global licences within the Rubies stable.

The showcases were streamed through private viewings providing buyers with an experiential approach to remotely research, interact and place orders from their expansive portfolio of global licensed brands.

Graham Gardiner, general manager EMEA, said: “We’ve missed seeing our customers in person over the past year, which is why we are bringing the same tailored personal interaction through live streamed showcases.

“At Rubies we’ve positioned ourselves at the forefront of digital excellence in the industry through ecommerce, e-fulfilment services and now our virtual showrooms. We are adapting the way our business operates to respond not only to the current restrictions but also to be at the forefront of long-term trends. Virtual events such as the showcases help to reduce our carbon footprint whilst allowing us to adapt with the shifts in consumer behaviours.

“Last week we saw over 35 customers from around the world in the space of three days, all of which were treated to a one-on-one interactive experience by using a live broadcast demonstration of all the new products from Marvel, Disney, Lucas, Sony, DC, Looney Tunes and many other major licences.

“By using our Bristol Showroom, we were able to interact and present to our key partners. Customers have appreciated the personal approach and effort we have made in bringing our inspirational ranges to their desks.”
