Spielwarenmesse launches digital platform for live event

Spielwarenmesse Digital is an innovative business platform, set to launch in 2022, to combine the live event with a range of digital opportunities.

The organisers of the annual Spielwarenmesse trade show will introduce the new feature at the 2022 show, which is scheduled for 2 – 6 February. Exhibitors and visitors can sign up to Spielwarenmesse digital from 1 March 2021.

The digital platform will showcase the product and company presentations of both market leaders and newcomers to the children’s industries, while also offering networking opportunities. Spielwarenmesse Digital will also offer a seminar programme for suppliers, retailers and buyers.

Further tools will allow visitors to organise their time in Nuremberg more efficiently, while enabling those who aren’t able to physically visit the show to network digitally and gain an overview of the fair and the latest offerings from exhibitors.

The show’s popular lecture programme will be accessible from the digital platform, including both the Toy Business Forum and the LicenseTalks programmes.

Ernst Kick, CEO of Spielwarenmesse eG, commented: “Our digital platform creates completely new opportunities for all market players, and allows the Spielwarenmesse to be experienced 365 days a year.”

Exhibitors will be able to choose whether to attend the show physically, digitally, or both. Virtual packages will be available in three options – Smart, Connect, or Premium. Further information can be found at www.spielwarenmesse.de/en/digital

Kick concluded: “Spielwarenmesse Digital allows companies to uniquely bolster their presence at the trade fair, whilst adding a completely new dimension for retailers and buyers visiting the physical exhibition. We’re delighted to offer this pioneering service as a valuable complement to our all-important live event.”
