BMTV: Looking to the future

The latest episode of Balloon Market TV – the popular YouTube channel which is hosted by Balloon Market’s Greg Brown – sees Greg speaking with BAPIA’s John and Sue Bowler.

The 35-minute long episode – which is hosted via video conferencing – discusses the success of the recent Q Corner Convention, what’s going on in BAPIA and, of course, how other things have changed in last few weeks.

The trio also spoke of  other changes which may happen as a result of the lockdown and the importance of being positive and looking for the benefits of the current situation.

“You have to look for the positives to come out this,” said John, chairman of the organisation. “That’s a bonus. I haven’t stopped working but that’s given me the opportunity to talk to members as well as catch up with work I haven’t had time to do before!”

Talking about plans for after lockdown, Sue – who is BAPIA’s creative director – spoke of looking forward to returning to training and picking up where she left off. “Plans are being put in place for after lockdown,” she said, “and it’s all been very positive. People that were due to be on courses with me have been in contact saying please let me know when they are going again. Everyone is still very keen to learn and I do believe this will bring strength to the industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to recharge our batteries, take a step back and look to the future…”
