UK newspaper highlights NYE fancy dress options

UK tabloid newspaper The Sun focused on New Year’s Eve fancy dress in a recent feature which looked forward to the costume choices likely to be made as we welcome in 2020.

In the feature, which began by highlighting the wide variety of dress-up and party options available, the consumer publication covered everything from simple headbands  to elaborate 1920s costumes and family-friendly group options.

One of the most popular themes is the 1920s or The Great Gatsby, while dress codes may be set as the last decade, famous couples or any number of other themes

“While some may be looking for solo uniforms, others will want to get their partner or BFF involved and be on the hunt for a costume for a duo, while others may be going all out by dressing up the entire family,” it stated.

Starting off with simple headbands and classic Christmassy lines, the article soon moved onto more elaborate dress-up for those looking to go the whole hog. The classic Grease duo of Danny and Sandy was highlighted as the ideal outfit for couples, while groups of friends were advised to go as something instantly recognisable but fun, such as the Scooby Doo gang.
