Celebrations up 20% for IG Design Group

As a key part of the IG Design Group’s ‘Celebrations’ category, party product has contributed to a 20% boost in that sector for the company.

The company announced its interim results today (which cover the six months to end of September), signalling a 21% growth in pre-tax profit (£17.1 million) on sales that were up 22% (£284.4 million).

As a growth category for the business, the party market has proven particularly strong overseas and still has plenty of growth potential domestically.

“We do not have an especially large party business in the UK,” admitted group ceo Paul Fineman, “but in Australia and the US it is growing.”

IG Design Group currently designs and manufactures fully coordinated partyware collections in line with current trends, including licensed lines. It is also focusing on launching environmentally friendly products, including fully recyclable Christmas crackers.
