BMTV: John Bowler talks creativity and pricing

The latest instalment of Balloon Market TV sees Greg Brown being joined by BAPIA chief executive John Bowler for a frank discussion about the current state of the balloon industry.

John spoke about environmental concerns within the industry, the creativity inspired by the helium shortage and the importance of upselling.

“I think the industry is doing ok,” he began. “Obviously there have been adverse moments recently with the helium and the ongoing environmental issue is always a problem. But there’s lots of work going on in both respects… certainly environmentally I know that manufacturers are working on different products with different materials… so that’s very positive.”

“Like any industry,” he added, “there are issues that need to be resolved and worked upon but that’s happening and we are fortunate to have some very passionate people within the industry.”
