Harrison Palmer, the managing director of family-run company Global Solutions for Clothing – home of dress-up and costume brand Pretend to Bee – has been  awarded the ‘highly commended’ accolade for Next Generation Leader at the tenth Midlands Family Business Awards.

Showcasing the most impressive, talented and innovative family-owned businesses, the companies recognised at the ceremony were selected from 51 previously announced finalists and announced at a black-tie award ceremony on Thursday 7 November, at the King Power stadium in Leicester.

Attended by over 300 guests – including awards finalists, independent judges and sponsors – the awards celebrated not just the achievements of the family businesses but also the milestone of the awards as it reached its tenth year of championing family businesses.

“I am delighted to have been named as highly commended at this year’s Family Business Awards in the category of Next Generation Leader,” said Harrison. “I have to say a big thank you to the rest of the team at GSC, for working exceptionally hard and helping the company go from strength-to-strength.”
