The Party People launches The Christmas People

Following its successful trial partnership with Halloween Alley pop-up stores, Australia’s leading party retailer Party People will be turning those premises into temporary seasonal stores, The Christmas People.

The Party People first started 30 years ago and is now Australia’s largest party retailer and supplier, with a flagship store based in Sydney. It partnered with Canadian pop-up retail expert Halloween Alley to open a number of temporary Halloween Alley stores across Australia for the recent Halloween season and it is these which will be repurposed to become The Christmas People stores for this year’s festive season.

“We are testing the temporary store concept further to see if its worth doing Halloween and Christmas back-to-back as a ‘seasonal pop-up’ store,” said ‘chief party dude’ at The Party People, Dean Salakas.

Dean was also keen to outline what seasonal product will be available at the new stores. “We will be offering trees, lights, inflatables, decorations, candy, garlands, tinsel, bon bons, tableware, cake decorating, Santa suits, headwear, costumes and more,” he explained.

The first store, based in Westfield Knox, will be opening its doors on Saturday 16 November, with the official opening event featuring a bouncy castle, free activities and the now-legendary Magic Mirror.

The Party People team will be continuing to run the seasonal stores on a day-to-day basis.
