“There has been huge support for our new compostable ranges;” talking to Pioneer Party

Balloon and party product company Pioneer Europe has been increasing its focus on its new Pioneer Party range with an innovative approach to the tableware market. PartyWorldwide.net spoke to head of marketing Julie Dommett and product development and licensing manager Andrew Storey to find out more.

Tell us about the trends you’re seeing in the market at the moment?

Julie: “The new Pioneer Party collection for 2019 previewed to great acclaim at Spring Fair. The collection included must-have fashion focused tableware and coordinated accessories, alongside licensed brands and premium design styles. Popular new styles, which of course reflect the trends in the market at the moment include Outer Space, Galaxy and Peacock designs.”

What about new product – we heard that the new eco range has been well-received?

Julie: “There has been huge support for our new compostable ranges. These are the stars of the new eco-friendly range which we launched in the new Pioneer Party catalogue this spring and we are thrilled to be able to offer them.”

Andrew: “The range includes compostable disposable paper products, re-useable products and products made from renewable sources so customers can make eco-friendly choices.”

What was the theory behind launching these new collections?

Andrew: “As a business we feel it is imperative that we look at market requirements and utilise new scientific developments to offer our customers choices at retail. The new industrial compostable products are certified by TUV Austria as they are proven to decompose quickly and leave no toxic residues when returned to the environment. But, importantly, they still offer attractive, exciting products for families to enjoy.”

They sound great! Will they come in different designs?

Julie: “Absolutely! The ranges with compostable items include a stylish Elephant, a cool Cacti and a fun-loving Dino. They include paper banners, paper party bags, napkins, paper plates and paper cups – all of which are industrial compost certified. There is even a licensed collection as well, featuring Disney’s Minnie Unicorn and Cars High Speed ranges in addition to a Marvel’s Spiderman superhero design.”
