The famous Ghost Face mask from the popular horror Scream movie franchise has been making headlines in Jamaica following a high-profile lottery win.
The lucky winner of the US$1.17 million jackpot picked up his massive check while wearing the head-turning disguise to conceal his identity from the public as well as certain members of his family.
The lucky winner, identified only as A. Campbell, won a $158.4 million jackpot ($1.17 million in U.S. dollars) while playing Jamaica’s Super Lotto in November 2018.
“We, at Palmer Agencies, are delighted with the win,” stated Palmer Agencies’ sales and marketing director Sergio Battaner. ” We are even more delighted that he chose to be portrayed in the media with this FunWorld product, which has become the worldwide face of Halloween.”
It’s not the first time a Super Lotto winner has worn a disguise while collecting their prizes to avoid being harassed for money by family members, friends and strangers. In June 2018, a Jamaican woman won US$1.33 million wore a winking-face emoji mask to claim her prize.
