Five minutes with: Angela Reijenga, Folat

Hi Angela, hope you’re having a great summer! How’s business going so far?

“Hi Jacqui, we have a great summer with a lot of sunshine here in the Netherlands. It looks like we are living in Spain! It’s now holiday season, but the business is doing great, we are selling a lot of inflatables because of the festivals and toucan and flamingo tableware.”

That’s good to hear! Are preparations starting for Halloween yet?

“Yes, our new Halloween brochure with costumes and decoration is available now and we see that stores are ordering their Halloween assortment with us.”

Sounds busy! What sort of Halloween are you expecting to see this year?

“In the Netherlands we are expecting more Halloween festivals starting the evening with parades. It’s more and more common to dress up for Halloween. We think that Voodoo will be the trend for 2018.”

Has Folat introduced any new Halloween ranges for 2018 that retailers should know about?

“Yes! We have introduced Voodoo costumes and we have some nice new tiara’s with a bloody saw, scissors, knife and axe. If you check out our webshop you can find the latest items.”

They sound great! And what about next year – how far into 2019 have you been planning so far? And what’s in store for retailers?

“Last week we launched our new costumes and accessories brochure with new unisex animal suits, masks, fancy suspenders and neon boleros. We are now in the middle of development of our new products what we will launch at Spielwarenmesse 2019.”

Sounds like there’s lots going on. Thanks for your time Angela – have a great summer!
