Angels Open Day 2018: Palmer Agencies

Taking place from 25 – 27 March, Angels Open Day is returning for its second year in 2018. The open days will once again be held at Angels’ iconic Hendon premises as the family devoted to fancy dress continues to meet the needs of an ever-developing industry.

One of this year’s exhibitors is Palmer Agencies, and marketing manager Sergio Battaner tells us what he’s hoping to achieve at the three-day show.

“Showing at Angels in London has a feeling of doing so in the home of fancy dress,” he explains. “Palmer Agencies has a great deal of respect for Angels, a company that has been kept ticking (and in a successful manner!) for over 177 years. As ever, we are grateful to the Angel family and their staff for opening their home to us and the trade.”

As for the benefits, Sergio emphasises the family feel. “It is a smaller show, with a homely feel where retailers/e-tailers will get more quality time getting to know the new products, and liaising with their favourite suppliers. For us it’s both a trade show and also the perfect occasion for the industry to get together and catch up. The Angel family and their staff make sure everyone is welcome, feel like they are at home and enjoy the stay.”

Palmer Agencies will be showing a number of new items. “We will show a curated selection of our new range and best-selling products such as masks, props, décor and costumes,” says Sergio. “For instance, our new moving mouth masks (raven, werewolf, fox and gorilla) need to be seen to be fully appreciated. Our animated props also need to be seen to be fully understood for the showpieces they are.”

What would Sergio say to retailers who are undecided about attending the event? “Come! If not to see the exhibitors (and take advantage of all our exclusive show offers) than at least come for the opportunity to have the guided tour through Angels’ premises, offering eight miles of rails full of costumes. It truly is an eye-opening experience.”
