Rasta Imposta CEO Makes The News

A Fox news interview with Robert Berman, ceo of Rasta Imposta costumes, was aired last Friday 27 October, looking at Halloween trends.

Robert is one of the founding members of the Halloween Association and was able to share some accurate predictions with the show’s hosts.

He began by pointing out that female empowerment costumes were in demand this year, with Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn taking the top spots. Clowns got namechecked as well, specifically IT’s Pennywise, while unicorns, rabbits and mice also got a mention.

The interview also covered controversial costumes, ranging from Donald Trump to the more delicate issue of cultural appropriation and other potentially offensive outfits.

“People come up with costumes without knowing whether it’s going to be a hit or not,’ Robert said. “It’s up to the retailer or the consumer to either buy it or express their concern. It wouldn’t be Halloween without the controversial costumes! Every year, there’s something.”

Robert also spoke about the move to online retailing, saying that; “Everything in retail is going online. The challenges that the brick and mortar stores have is how to bring people inside their stores.”
