“Wedding season is shaping up to be a busy one”

Taking in the backlog of weddings which were postponed over the past two years due to Covid restrictions, and the new couples heading down the aisle, 2022 is set to be a bumper year of weddings worldwide.

For many couples, their wedding day in 2022 will have been a long time coming. And for manufacturers of wedding supplies, the expected upsurge in vow exchanging this year will be warmly welcomed after months of cancelled and postponed ceremonies.

Fortunately, those suppliers are reporting increased sales this year. Julie Dommett, head of marketing at Pioneer Europe states: “Sales of Qualatex wedding products are significantly up on last year, as customers gear up for an extremely busy summer of weddings.”

This is a trend being seen across the board, as Jen Wilson, head of design and marketing at Amscan adds: “We’re certainly already seeing a demand for wedding products and especially with regards to DIY style items, which synergises perfectly with our product category.”
