The ‘magnificent seven’ week countdown to PG Live

“The excitement is now really starting to build for Progressive Greetings Live, now we are in the seven week countdown to the show,” exclaimed Warren Lomax, co-owner of Max Exhibitions, which owns and organises PG Live, which is to take place Tuesday 27 July and Wednesday 28 July at London’s Business Design Centre.

“After 16 months of no trade shows, PG Live really will be a wonderful opportunity for the greeting community to get back together. It will be some reunion at which business will meet pleasure,” Warren assures. “I have been lucky enough to have had a sneak peek at what just some of the exhibitors are planning to launch and goodness me, it’s impressive!”

In addition to the thousands and thousands of new designs to be launched at the show by the stellar line-up of exhibitors, final touches are also being put in place to make the exhibition extra special.

For starters, Fedrigoni, sponsor of the Gallery Hall, is finalising the plans to make the room look as scrumptious as the free lunch that will be served to all. Hallmark is working closely with top designer Kate Smith on the keepsake tote bag that will be given to all visitors while The Imaging Centre has gone into overdrive producing all the special promotional postcard invites for exhibitors to send to their retail customers detailing the treats that will be in store on their respective stands.

Meanwhile, forget The Great British Sewing Bee, there is some serious haute couture underway for the show. Costumier extraordinaire, Sharon Harvey is currently working her way through the card and wrap samples submitted by exhibitors to create the ‘meeter and greeter’ dresses for this year.

And, helping to ensure that PG Live hits the high notes right from the off, Skylight Media (leading website and ecommerce specialists for the greeting card sector) is sponsoring celebrated saxophonist Graeme Airth (of Curiosity Killed the Cat fame), who is back by popular demand to provide a musical welcome for all visitors as well as play during lunch. This is show business after all!
