The final countdown is on to the first ever GemarDay Live, a three day event starting on 11 April 2021.
Tickets have sold out with more than 1000 eager balloon enthusiasts ready to get started. Balloon kits are being made-up and shipped all over the world in advance of the event.
A range of hugely talented tutors is lined-up, including familiar faces from previous events and new talent to wow attendees. Here are some of the experts that visitors will meet in April:
Roberta Pinto will be getting everything off to a flying start with the very first session on day one. Roberta is one of the Gemar Masters. Roberta specialises in the captivating fantasy flower technique, but with skills perfected in over 25 years working with balloons, whatever technique Roberta uses the result is sure to be spectacular.
Later on, Veronika Golubeva will be sharing her tips for designing and making a fancy dress costume entirely out of balloons. It’s a fabulous way to bring a balloon sculpture to life and Veronika is the perfect tutor. She has worked with balloons for many years, presenting her work at festivals and large scale exhibitions. Not only that, Veronika organised Odessa Balloon Fest, the international festival of aero design in Ukraine.
After lunch, Luz Paz and Omar Bucio will be thinking big, something they are very good at! Luz is a globally well-known balloon artist and a favourite among celebrities, who seek her out to provide extraordinary displays and entertainment for their functions. Her husband Omar works alongside her, and is a skilled balloon artist in his own right.
Bringing the day to a close is Gemar Ambassador Yulys Charles. Yulys has always focused on balloons for high end children’s parties, being inspired by her own children and granddaughter. Her beautiful decorations aren’t just for children though, they will bring a touch of magic to any occasion.
That’s not all, day one will also see classes taught by Rafael Alvarado, Gemar Master Claudio Casagrande, Gemar Ambassador Irina Gvozdenko, Kelly Chatle and many more. It’s certainly going to be packed with amazing content.
