Smiffys launches Thomas & Friends dress-up range

Party and fancy-dress company Smiffys has teamed up with toy brand Mattel to launch an exciting new line of licensed Thomas & Friends dress-up for toddlers.

The collection will be the latest addition to Smiffys’ already extensive offering as it continues to focus on growing its baby and toddler offering and comes as Thomas & Friends gears up for its 75th anniversary in 2020.

“For almost 75 years, Thomas & Friends has been introducing preschoolers to the wonder of trains,” commented Mattel’s Helen Genia. “Giving children the opportunity to express their own stories of Thomas through costumes is something we are thrilled to be able to achieve, with Smiffys such experts in this dress-up space.”

Dominique Peckett, Smiffys’ director, added: “We are very excited to be designing dress-up for a timeless household brand that has delighted parents and children for generations. The range hopes to inspire imagination in young children as they recreate their favourite adventures from the well-loved series.”

The new range is on track to launch in time for World Book Day in March 2020, as the national day of the year continues to grow in popularity with dress-up across nurseries and schools in the UK.
