Rubies welcomes new independent accounts manager

Rubies has announced the hiring of Scott Pickworth, who will join the company as its brand new independent accounts manager.

Scott brings a wealth of experience in the industry and during his 20 years in the business, he has shown strong ambition and a clear vision for the multiple companies he worked with, including Smiffys, where he achieved year-on-year growth, before joining Fun Shack as a startup and establishing it as a national brand.

At Rubies, Scott will be responsible for managing the independent accounts and will also be the product lead on generic product development.

Having undergone an exciting past 12 months internally, including the implementation of new strategies and the development of new studios and working spaces, Rubies is keen to continue its growth with the hiring of new staff members to drive sales and accounts and to help implement the shared vision for the future of the company.

Mike O’Connell, managing director, commented: “Scott is an incredibly exciting addition to our synergetic team as we look to the future with a clear and concise collaborative vision for the company. He is joining at a crucial and exciting time due to increased business, peak seasons such as Halloween and Christmas, and our exciting internal developments.

“We have no doubt Scott will fit right into our team and our energetic work environment with his drive and ambitions for Rubies. With his previous track record for brand growth and account management, we are incredibly excited to see the plans he has in store for account and brand optimisation, as well as product development. We look forward to welcoming him to the team very soon.”

As Rubies welcomes Scott, the company is saying farewell to Stewart Rankin and Tony Jones, two agents who have been with the company for over 20 years.

Mike continued: “I would like to thank them both for their service and commitment to the company throughout the tenure and wish them both the very best for the future.”
