GemarDay USA is a hit as it moves online

Gemar is celebrating after the success of this year’s GemarDay USA, which was held online for the first time.

The company worked hard to create something completely different to anything else that had gone before. This included having no pre-recorded tutorials, with Gemar instead creating 36 hours of content which was live streamed to participants around the world in their own language across the three days.

Balloon kits were sent out ahead of time, allowing participants to take part in the classes no matter where they were in the world.

In addition, the event also acted as a platform for a number of special announcements including the launch of four new balloons and a brand new colour, in the form of Shiny Purple.

One of the most eagerly awaited sessions was from Tampilipe, with the opening ceremony used to welcome him to the Gemar family as its newest ambassador.

Speaking about the event, Gloria Veta, brand and sales director at Gemar, said: “When the sessions began it was hard to know who was most excited. The participants were sitting at home with balloon kits ready. The instructors were poised with technology, interpreters and assistants at the ready. Backstage was buzzing with anticipation and on screen myself and Genesio in Italy stood next to Maria and Piero in Miami. We simply couldn’t wait to get started.”
