The deadline for securing discounted accommodation for the National Costumers Association convention is Friday 21 June 2019.
The convention – which is taking place from 18 – 21 July, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Kansas City, USA – has placed the emphasis firmly on education for this year’s event. Rooms can be booked at the NCA group rate up until the deadline.
This year’s NCA convention is focusing on education, with classes covering everything from airbrushing and face paint right through to the specifics of mascot restoration and pattern making.
A social media class will cover how to explore new business avenues, while a class on the benefits of basic balloon art will focus on the ease of upselling balloons. Other classes cover imaginative cosplay, changing store displays, how to use 3D Tinsley Transfers and the customer’s experience.
The National Costumers Association is a professional organisation promoting the artistic, historical, educational, and social nature of costuming. It encourages ethical business standards and creativity, offering a wide selection of member benefits in addition to a Buyer’s Group.
