BAPIA reveals GOSH decor artists

The names of the balloon artists who have been selected to take part in hugely popular Great Ormond Street Hospital 2018 event have been announced.

The event – which has been organised once again by balloon and party industry organisation BAPIA – sees over 20 balloon professionals coming together to help create a party atmosphere for the children’s Christmas parties.

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) celebrates Christmas with children staying in the hospital each year and holds four parties over two days, attended by between 1,500 and 2,000 people. BAPIA is delighted to have been able to support this world-famous charity for the last five years by creating the decor for these Christmas parties.

This year will be a little more challenging, as the decor has to be built in one room and cannot be installed in the party room until 6pm. Many BAPIA members remained up for the challenge and applied to be part of the event so the names wnet into a hat to ensure complete fairness and transprency.

Those lucky enough to be chosen were; Sue Harrington, Joanne Moore, Heydi Alvarado, Natasha Nordin, Graham Laycock, Helen martin, Jan Davey, Marcia Tull, Helen Garrett, Mike Hurst, Leanne Brown, Jacqui Saxon, Janet Halliday, Debbie Fisher, Sabina McGregor, Gill Redmond, Hazel Markland, Teresa Elliott, Leigh West, Alison Ayrton, Zoe Harvey, Pat Horwill, Sara Bartley and Lynn Allwood.

“Thank you to everybody who applied,” said John Bowler, chief executive of BAPIA. “As always I am really sorry that we cannot take everybody. For those who cannot be a part of GOSH 2018 we will have a couple of fantastic photographers with us this year so look out for the photographs! Thank you to everybody as always for your support of this great day.”

BAPIA will be in touch with all of the successful applicants with more information.
