Balloons make their mark on the Christmas countdown

Balloons have been making their mark on the Christmas countdown as a nation of parents think up increasingly exciting ways for their Christmas Elves to arrive on 1 December.

An increasingly popular part of the advent countdown, the elves will appear in houses across the UK before getting up to mischief every night and reporting back to the big guy himself.

The grand entrance on day one is seen as an increasingly important part of proceedings and parents are always looking for the most magical way to deliver one of Santa’s little helpers. For 2018, Elves arriving in balloons is already one of the hottest trends, with balloon retailers reporting being overwhelmed by demand.

“All over the country, our balloon and party retailers are reporting record levels of advance orders and there’s no sign of it slowing down,” said Pioneer Europe’s Julie Dommett. “Fuelled by the multitude of fun images on social media sites like Instagram and Pinterest, wherever we look we are seeing clear Bubble Balloon and QuickLink designs stuffed with Elves and assorted goodies. It appears to be the way for Elves to travel this year!”

Retailers who have capacity and are happy to join in the festive family phenomenon are encouraged to let consumers know their options as soon as possible, as a number of stores are already approaching capacity.
