Aspects of Association: Defining your signature

In its latest column, NABAS explores business signatures and how to define them.

Do you know what your business signature is? Years ago, your physical signature was frequently used as a representation of your identity on letters or cheques. Today, digital signatures have largely taken their place, but being able to identify yourself is as important as ever, if not more so.

The concept of a signature is just as relevant for your business, regardless of its size – what is your signature? What sets you apart from others in the same industry and makes your company memorable?

A business signature could be:

  • A flagship product or range that is synonymous with your brand.
  • A unique service offering that stands out from your competitors.
  • An exclusive design or concept that your clients can’t get anywhere else.

It was a challenging 2024 for the balloon and party industry – and there are further potential hurdles ahead in 2025 –  so it is more important than ever to be clear on what you want your business to be known for. A clear business signature that your team fully understands will ensure that everything you do consistently delivers exceptional value to your clients. This clarity is a foundation for business stability, growth and long term success.
