A set of stunning pictures have been released of the competition entries for the 18th international Moscow Balloon Festival 2017, which was held from Monday 25 to Friday 29 September and is the largest of its kind in Europe.
John Bowler, BAPIA ceo and European manager for Premium Balloon Accessories, attended the festival and reported back to PartyWorldwide.net that the festival is continuing to grow. Some 31 teams took part this year, with over 20 entrants in the large sculpture competition.
“The Moscow Festival has developed year on year and the competition entries have followed suit,” said John. “The quality of the competition pieces is second to none, and with so many talented competitors with enthusiastic teams the winner is never a foregone conclusion.”
He continued; “The sculptures included internationally-known characters as well as those from Russian folklore but they all had the wow factor.”
In addition to the competitions, there are also a number of decor classes sponsored by manufacturers (including Gemar, Amscan, Belbal, Qualatex, Hi-Float, Premium Balloon Accessories and Grabo) and run by a selection of top international instructors who are able to inspire and educate both new and established delegates.
“The Festival itself is organised by Europa Uno Trade and supported by a number of the industry’s biggest manufacturers,” explained John, “such as Premium Balloon Accessories, whose Twin Air Sizer and Cool Aire 4 machines were used by the winning team.”
This year is also the 25th anniversary of Europa Uno Trade, Russia’s largest balloon and party distribution company.
